According to this news, it is obvious that the addiction of online game cause a lot of individual and social problems. In the virtual world, the weapons, the level or the quality of their characters are the most important things. Stealing the weapons or people”¦s account become a common crime nowadays, people are willing to do everything in order to fulfill their goals. Owing to their demand or desire of it, it is not only creating the selling business, but also provoking them to commit criminal acts. It is so upset that owing to be succeed in virtual world, they commit crime in the reality.

It also can reveal another problem is that the teenagers cannot distinguish the differences between the real world and the virtual world. All the things in the virtual world are unreal whatever in relationship or objects. In relationship, people may not make friends whole-heartedly. Worse still, some may deceive others. About the objects from online games, it is just for fun but it cannot have any real effect in real world. Worse still, some would commit this crime for revenge probably. It becomes vicious circle and this kind of crimes is rampant which endangers the order of society.

Apart from committing crime such as stealing virtual goods in online role-playing games, teenagers who are addicted to online games can even hurt themselves physically. Over the years, a number of gamers have the tendency to end their own lives due to the setbacks they faced in the online world.

 

In the year of 2007, a Korean teenager committed suicide due to an online game. The victim was a male who was jobless after graduation from the university. He then had been playing the online game called R2. The same as other games, R2 has typical role-playing game features like virtual assets such as personal armors and equipment. Unluckily, this teenager”¦s game account was stolen by another gamer. And sure enough, any virtual assets along with it were gone as well. An estimation of one hundred million Won was lost. In the end, this teenager could not deal with such a fact so that he chose to put an end to his life. He even left a suicide note to explain why he did that. In fact, this is not the only case in which gamers committed suicide. The same thing happened to a 13-year-old teenage boy in Tianjin. After delving too deep into the virtual online game, he left a suicide note to tell the world that he was headed to the ”„virtual world”¦.
