Dr. Jianfa SHEN is a Professor and Head of Graduate Division in The Department of Geography and Resource Management; Director, Urban and Regional Development in Pacific Asia Programme, Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies,The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Visiting Chair Professor of Fujian Normal University (Human Geography); a Part-time Member, Central Policy Unit, HKSAR Government. Before joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1996, he was a Lecturer in The Department of Geography, The East China Normal University; a Research Scholar in The London School of Economics, The University of London, England (1990-1991); Researcher/Lecturer in The Department of Geography, The University of Wales Swansea; Wales (1994-1995/1995-1996) and Research Fellow in The School of Geography, The University of Leeds, England (1996).
