Dear Shakespeare Festival Participants,

It is my pleasure to announce the list of universities that have reached the finals in the Fourth Chinese Universities Shakespeare Festival in April, 2008.

For those who could not make it this year, please do not be discouraged. Competition has been keen as there is a marked improvement in acting and directing standards for most teams. The judges remarked on the high quality of the performances. A certificate of participation will be issued to each of you.

A sheet of detailed comments from both judges will be sent to you shortly. The comments will hopefully be able to direct your attention to areas for improvements in future productions.

May I congratulate all of you, not just the finalists, for the efforts you have put into this event. And thank you all for taking part. We look for seeing you again in the Fifth Festival.
