Dear Participants,

        Some exciting news for Festival supporters and participants! One of our former actors and supporters has just won a prestigious scholarship to Oxford University. Edgar Mao, formerly of Peking University where as an actor he was part of the Festival team, is now at CUHK doing his MPhil and lending backstage support to the CUHK Festival team. Edgar has just won the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarships to Oxford, where he will do his DPhil (doctoral) degree on Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare's great predecessor. The Scholarship is awarded annually to one student for doctoral study at Oxford: but only if a student of sufficient quality comes forward. It goes to show that a Shakespeare background can really take you places!
